Time to capture great pictures of your kids (or grandkids), that perfect sunset scene or even what's for dinner!

These classes are geared more towards portrait photography, but all of the information I give you can be used for any type of photography you like.

Bring your DSLR, mirrorless, or other creative-capable camera and learn to use it for the powerful tool that it is. The best camera for this class is one with changeable lenses with the ability to manually control your camera settings. Knowing how to set your film speed, aperture and shutter speed are a must... every camera is a little different and we won't have time to go over that for everyone's camera.

I will do my best to give you the knowledge and confidence you need
to take great shots of your children, landscapes or whatever else
you like by moving out of automatic mode and using the creative modes of your camera.

The Basics

This class is for all beginners. We will walk through all the basics of using your camera. Move from being stuck in automatic mode to using the creative modes, and take control of your images!

Topics include:

Understanding and navigating the info screen

What those letters on the dial mean (and which ones to use when!)

Understanding aperture & shutter speed

Getting that beautiful blurry background

How to get good smiles and candid shots

How and where to photograph your kids (indoors, outdoors, action, candid... all of it!)

plus... as many tips as I can give from my years of portrait experience (priceless)

More classes to come! I would love to expand to topics like... taking better pictures with your phone, editing your phone photos and of course a class on how I do my Lightroom workflow and possibly some advanced composite work in photoshop!

STAY TUNED!
